Dublin Dragons 60 Edenderry Soldiers 20

After the loss to Trinity two weeks all but put an end to the Dragons' playoff aspirations, the Dragons made a statement in their rematch with Edenderry that they had no intention of going quietly. Both teams came out ready to play, and the Dragons took the opening drive all the way for a TD pass from Dermot O'Callaghan to Tom Lenihan. Edenderry struck back straight away with an equally impressive for a score. Again the Dragons drove for a TD, this time from Liam Rowsome, and after stopping the Soldiers, scored again, this time with Lenihan blasting it in again. Edenderry have shown all season that they don't know the meaning of the word "quit", and scored again to make the score 19-14. The Dragons scored twice more, both from Tom Lenihan, before Edenderry scored a long range TD to make the halftime score 26-14. Edenderry scored again at the beginning of the second half to pull within 6, but that was as close as the game got as the Dragons repeatedly shut them down. Rowsome scored his second, then Lenihan scored his fifth of the day, a Dragons record. QB O'Callaghan plunged in from short range to push the score to 53-20, before Rowsome finished off his usual impressive performance scoring his third of the day.

Final Score: Dragons 60, Soliders 20

The Dragons face the unbeaten Craigavon Cowboys in ALSAA Sports Grounds next week. Kickoff is at 2pm.
