NORTH TEAM WINS ALLSTAR GAME.

IRISH AMERICAN FOOTBALL LEAGUE - 28th SEPTEMBER 2003.

SOUTH 0-7 NORTH

North: Belfast Bulls, Carrickfergus Knights & Craigavon Cowboys.
South: Cork Admirals, Dublin Dragons & Dublin Rebels.

Venue: Woodburn Road, Carrickfergus

SCORERS:
1st Quarter: No scoring.
2nd Quarter: No scoring.
3rd Quarter: NOR: Murray 2yd run, McDowell 1xpt (7-0).
4th Quarter: No scoring.

MVP Award: Mark Pollock, North (Carrickfergus).

The North team won the first IAFL Allstar game, played at Carrickfergus. Both defenses dominated the game which was settled by one score in the 3rd quarter. Craigavon Cowboys running back Bobby Murray put the North team on front win a 2 yard touchdown run mid way through the 3rd quarter. This came after the North team got the ball on the 13 yard line after tipping a punt by the South team. Stephen McDowell of the Carrickfergus Knights kicked the extra point after to make the score 7-0. North cornerback Mark Pollock of the Carrickfergus Knights won the games MVP award after making 2 key interceptions in the game.
