Here it is...
An 11-a-side win = 5pts
An 11-a-side loss = 0pts
An 8-a-side win = 3 pts*
(a further 2 points are conditional)
*If team A wants to play an 11 a-side game
and team B does not then team A is awarded
2 points before the
game kicks off. A further 3 points are determined
by the outcome of the match,(it encourages
both sides to play 11-a-side).It also gives
the match meaning, as the winner of the
match will take home more points than the
loser in either format. If team B defeats
team A then the points awarded will be as
follows
Team B = 3 points
Team A = 2 points
On the other hand if Team A wins the game
then the
scoring will be as follows
Teanm A = 5 points
Team B = 0 points
# In the case of both teams only being
able to play an 8-a-side game then there
are only 3 points on offer
with the winner taking all three.
##Before each match, both teams must make
it known to the referees what their status
is and how they want
the game to be played.
As for the playoffs what I had suggested
was that once we go into the playoffs everything
must then go
to an 11-a-side format. If a team has made
the playoffs (the top 4 teams qualify for
the playoffs A v D , B v C) and is unable
to provide an 11-a-side team then it must
forfeit it's position to the next best positioned
team and so on. The playoffs in no shape
or form can be played in 8-a-side mode.

Pat suggested that if the season were to
be split into 2 halves (see submission by
Cillian Smith - IAFL Board); then each team
should play 2 home and 2 away games in each
half of the season & no team should
play more than 2 games in consecutive weeks.
Pat forwarded a spreadsheet to illustrate
how this could be done.
