The Irish American Football League (IAFL) is pleased to announce that its Championship game, Shamrock Bowl XXIII will be played at Cooke Rugby Club in Belfast on Sunday 9th August 2009, kick-off 2pm.

Cooke Rugby Club is one of the premier sporting venues in Belfast, and is host to two All-Ireland league rugby teams. The game will be played on the first team pitch which is overlooked by a 300 capacity covered spectator area at balcony level and more spectator capacity at pitch side. Full bar and catering facilities will be available for all attendees.

Directions

1. Coming from Newry and the south, leave A1 for M1 North towards BELFAST at Sprucefield.
2. Coming from the west, continue on the M1 towards BELFAST at Sprucefield. (A1 interchange) After 4 miles, take the A55 slip road exit (Junction [2]) towards OUTER RING/NEWTOWNARDS/BALMORAL/KINGS HALL.
Enter motorway slip road roundabout and take 3rd exit onto Stockman's Lane (A55 OUTER RING).
3. Coming from the north, leave the M2 for the Westlink through Belfast and join the M1 at Broadway roundabout. Leave M1 at first exit (junction 2)and take 1st roundabout exit into A55 Outer Ring on Stockman's Lane.
All routes then:
Follow A55 OUTER RING (0.2 miles) straight across the first set of traffic lights (Boucher Road jnct.) Follow A55 OUTER RING under bridges and across lights at Malone Church (on left) into Balmoral Avenue and on to the next major junction. 0.7 miles At these lights, turn RIGHT onto Malone Road still following signs for the A55 OUTER RING.
After 0.3miles, enter next roundabout and take 1st exit on to the Milltown Road, still the A55 OUTER RING.
Follow the A55 (Milltown Road) OUTER RING down the hill (a 4 lane carriageway with parkland left and right) and across Shaw's Bridge.

Instonians grounds are first left, 300yds past Shaw's Bridge, down the lane (CAREFUL - RAMPS!) just before the Ramada Hotel.
Ample car and coach parking in the second carpark, just past the Clubhouse on the left.
