Michael Smith will be the crew chief and Referee in Shamrock Bowl XX. A civil servant from Dublin, he is on the European Federation list and refereed the EFAF Cup quarter final tie in Norway earlier this year. This is his eighth Shamrock Bowl and he has been referee on two previous occasions. All of this years’ crew have previous Shamrock Bowl experience, with the exception of Dennis Desmond who is in his first year in the IAFL after having officiated in college football in the USA for over 20 years.
