BOWL XVII - SUTTONIANS RFC - SUNDAY
10TH AUGUST 2PM.
Shamrock Bowl XVII will take place
in Suttonians RFC which is located
along the northern shore of Dublin
Bay. Andy Dennehy of the Dublin Rebels
will be the promoter for the event,
but he will be assisted by Andrew
Flynn (IAFL Committee) and the Shamrock
Bowl Committee. Here are the event
details submitted to date:.
Suttonians RFC is the primary training
ground for the Irish under-21s squad,
and has been for a number of years.
The club’s committee has already
granted the IAFL the use of the grounds
to host this year’s Shamrock
Bowl. Included in this is the following:
- Use of a high quality playing pitch
for the Shamrock Bowl.
- Pitches marked to the exact specification
of the IAFL.
- Food & drink.
- Use of real goalposts.
- Full use of changing rooms for players/officials.
- Full access to the bar and function
room for the entire day.
- Large viewing area for fans and
players.
 
The location of Suttonians (see map
below) offers the following benefits:
- Large car/coach parking area with
additional parking spaces at Sutton
DART station.
- It is opposite Sutton DART station
and accessible via seven different
bus routes – 31, 31a, 31b, 32,
32a, 32b, 102 – all of which
stop within two minutes walk of the
grounds.
- Close proximity to the North for
the three teams travelling to watch
the game.
To enhance the event, the following
is also proposed:
- Full television coverage by 2/3
cameras that will be edited down and
broadcast at a later date.
- Family attractions to include hot
food, face painting, etc
- Music and announcer/commentator.
- Marketing with local radio stations..
- Newspaper coverage from the Dublin
Daily, the Evening Herald, the
Irish Independent, the Sunday Independent,
the Sunday Tribune, First Down, The
Northside People, Citywide News and
The Star.
- Support and backing from NFL Europe.
- Invites to over 300 American companies
based in the area.
- Posters and flyers all over the
immediate area as well as key points
around the City – sports shops,
bars,
gyms, etc.
