Team Ireland Junior Flag Try-outs.

The Irish Flag Football Association is holding try-outs for the Team Ireland flag football teams on the first two weekends in June. Team Ireland hopes to field 3 x teams in the upcoming European Junior Flag Championships. Players are being sought for the following teams:
U13 Boys – born on or after 1st January 1999.
U13 Girls – born on or after 1st January 1999.
U15 Boys – born on or after 1st January 1997.
Tryouts will take place as follows:
Saturday 2nd June (5:30pm) – Edenderry.
Saturday 9th June (3:30pm) – Rathangan.

St. Marys Edenderry – IFAF Team of the Month for March 2012

St. Marys GNS from Edenderry Co. Offaly has been named as the International Federation of American Football (IFAF) Team of the Month for March 2012. St. Mary’s were given this prestigous award after winning the inaugural Women In Sport Schools Flag Football Tournament organised by the IFFA.
The IFAF Team of the Month is given to teams who have done something significant such as winning a major title or going unbeaten or a pioneering achievement (as with St. Marys). EFAF Flag Football Conference held in Dublin

IAFA hosted the first ever EFAF Conference on Flag Football in Dublin over the weekend of the 16/17th October. Delegates from Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland and Sweden attended the conference.
Among the issues discussed was the introduction of the revised rules for Flag Football, planning for future events and the publication of a hosting guide for competitions.
