Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011The Annual General Meeting of the Federation of Irish Sports took place at SportsHQ on Tuesday 21st June. The newly appointed Minister for Tourism & Sport, Michael Ring TD addressed the meeting and stayed behind afterwards to speak to the various representatives on a individual basis. Outgoing President, Frances Kavanagh and CEO Sarah O’Connor gave reports on the organisations activities.
A new Executive Committee was elected and includes IAFA Board member, Cillian Smith. The Committee will consist of the following individuals:

Monday, March 21st, 2011The Annual General Meeting of the Irish American Football Association took place a the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dublin on Saturday 19th March. The outlook from the meeting was generally positive. Topics discussed included how to expand the schools flag football programme, the introduction of youth kitted football and the ISC Women in Sport initiative. Delegates were also given an update on some high profile football events that are proposed for Ireland over the next 2-3 of years.
A new Board was appointed for 2011-2012. Greg Loughran (President), Cillian Smith (Secretary) and Michael Smith (Treasurer) retained the positions they occupied in 2010-2011. John [...]
