Shamrock Bowl Play-Offs Update

The results of 3rd June 2012 have clarified what six teams will qualify for the 2012 Play-Offs. However there are still some seeding issues to resolved in the final weekends games.

The Play-Off picture in IAFL South is quite clear. The three qualifiers have all won a minimum of 6 games and there is clear daylight between them and the remaining 3 teams in the Division. The unbeaten UL Vikings will get a bye into the Semi-Finals. The Dublin Rebels will host play-off newcomers, Trinity College in the Wildcard game.

The Belfast Trojans have secured first place in IAFL North and a bye into the Semi-Finals. Week 15’s results mean that West Dublin Rhinos and Carrickfergus Knights will be the two Wildcard teams. Both these teams meet in the final weekend of the season with 2nd place and home field advantage in the Wildcard game at stake.

IAFL South Wildcard – Sunday 17th June 2012:

Trinity College @ Dublin Rebels

IAFL North Wildcard – Sunday 24th June 2012:

Carrickfergus Knights v West Dublin Rhinos – venue to be determined.

Shamrock Bowl Semi-Finals – Sunday 1st July 2012:

IAFL North WC Winner @ UL Vikings

IAFL South WC Winner @ Belfast Trojans
