Shamrock Bowl to return to Tallaght Stadium

2010 Shamrock Bowl at Tallaght Stadium

The Irish American Football League is pleased to announce that Shamrock Bowl XXVI will be played in Tallaght Stadium in South Dublin. The event will take place on Saturday 14th July 2012.

This will be the second Shamrock Bowl played at the stadium in recent years – the 2010 game between the Dublin Rebels and UL Vikings was played at the stadium. The Shamrock Bowl is the Championship game of the IAFL, which is Ireland’s premier kitted football league. 11 teams from various parts of the island are currently competing for a place in the Bowl.

Tallaght Stadium is owned by South Dublin County Council and regularly hosts high profile sports events. It is also the home of Ireland’s current soccer champions – Shamrock Rovers.
