Founded as the MU Phantoms in 2011, the MU Hurricanes are the official Flag Football club of Maynooth University.
Being a college club, the Hurricanes have players from all over Ireland as well as some from various countries across the globe.
In recent years, the Hurricanes have grown increasingly competitive in the flag football scene in Ireland.
In 2019, the club made its first ever playoff appearance, entering the GBC playoffs as a wildcard. After winning the quarter and semi finals, the Hurricanes earned promotion to the AFI Flag Football Premier Division.
With their explosive offense and a defense that consistently creates turnovers, the Hurricanes are looking to assert themselves as one of the country’s top Flag Football sides in 2020.
